The Origin

This rare Wush Wush comes from the Las Nubes ("The Clouds") farm in Pereira, Colombia.

The farm owes its name to its location high up in the mountains at an altitude of 1,950 to 2,000 meters, where the coffee trees are often literally in the clouds.

Surrounded by cool pine forests and fertile soil, this terroir offers the perfect conditions for demanding, exotic varieties.

Processing & Harvesting

The Wush Wush is a true artisanal masterpiece. The harvest is meticulously hand-sorted by Edwin and his family, as well as local harvest workers.

  • Fermentation: The coffee undergoes an extremely long, 100-hour anaerobic fermentation.Drying: It is then dried using the Natural process (in the cherry) on African raised beds.
  • The Result: A profile that transcends traditional taste boundaries – complex, refreshing, and exceptional.

The owner, Marco Echeverry, has leveraged his many years of experience to transform Las Nubes into a highly specialized project for excellent coffees.

  • Science meets nature: Marco has set up his own laboratory on the farm to meticulously test each harvest and guarantee cup quality.
  • Dedication: The goal is not mass production, but rather a small-scale production of the highest quality that masters the challenges of Ethiopian varieties on Colombian soil.

Wush Wush is a rarity, originally from Ethiopia, and rarely found in Colombia with this level of perfection. Marco Echeverry and his team (led by renowned coach Hernando Tapasco) prove that a completely new taste experience can emerge through state-of-the-art technology and sustainable agriculture. We love this coffee because it is bold and transports customers from the "traditional zone" directly into the world of specialty coffees.
